Ulovane Camp Progress 21 November 08

Visted the camp on Saturday, progress is going quickly, although with builders closing down they only have 3 weeks to go.
Lots of excitement going on to see the finished product.

Current Position

Hi Guys!
Ok this is my current living position. It is a little housie just off the main verandah of a huge house. My little car is safely parked close to my front door.

Watch this space as the idea is to update this blog on a regular basis from now on.

Cheers for now!

Addo shopping spree

Yes! this is my shopping which I needed to do in Addo. When living in the bush you have to be very organised as to what is needed, as the shops are not close by.

Daddy Lion

And here we have the Daddy lion, his purpose here at this ranch is to mate and make more babies! It was so sad to see these lions in such tiny enclosures.

Addo Lion & Croc Ranch

Yes! it is right. This tiger is in captivity at this ranch. He paces up and down the fence. They are still trying to find him a mate. Here he is saying damn this fence! By the way he is huge, no ways can call him a kitty!

Cape Recife

As you get to Cape Recife lighthouse on the right hand side we spotted this lonely cottage left all alone in the dunes. This piece of drift wood is always laying on this beach, at times you need to fetch from where ever and place where you want to take your pics. The day we went there the wind was cold and blowing hard, so another visit needs to happen

First Lighthouse

Sunday the 27th July I visited my very first lighthouse. Behind me is Cape Recife Lighthouse, because it was Sunday the lighthouse was not open for viewing. Will have to visit again.

Kragga Kama visit

Since moving to PE have wanted to go and visit Kragga Kama game park. Yes! it is a game park in the middle of PE. There we met a tame cheetah and even had pictures taken. This is a huge kitty.
As you can see must that kitty preferred the taste of Joe to me.
The bottom right hand corner is a cheetah that is in an enclosure, but that is not the one you want to get out of the car for to scratch his head

Breakfast at Bush Lodge

The following week we got to spend an evening at Bush Lodge together, here we are at the main dining area having a wonderful breakfast in the absolute luxury in the middle of the bush. Well the one is having a drink at the pub the evening before.

Evening at Bush Lodge

Next adventure was an evening spent up at Bush Lodge tented camp alone. The wind howled, at one point thought the walls were going to go flying and leave me unprotected. below is a picture of the path down to the tented room.

July full of adventures

The month of July started with fresh prawns cleaned by Joe himself and purchased at the PE harbour. Very serious business going on here to get them cleaned.

Hogsback end of April

Just slipping this one in between of my trip to Hogsback. I am very new at this blogging story and attempting to get mysel up to date.
I did a small road trip the end of April and decided to take myself off to Hogsback, not got there before, but eventually did. It was totally amazing and definitely will go again. will take company with though, not able to do all the walks alone.
But here are a few just to give you an idea of the beautiful forest and mountains

Youngest member of the family

End of June beginning of July saw Jean, Clifford and myself doing a last minute trip to Jo'burg for a week to visit family. It was great to see everyone and catch up. And I even got to eventually meet Cheyenne, newest member to the Pugh girl family

Reed Valley Room 2

From the 28th May through to end of September is where I parked my suitcases while I helped out at Reed Valley for 4 months. I thoroughly enjoyed first thing in the morning, as once you walk out the door you have all sorts of birds flying around and doing the things they do first light of day

View while having breakfast

22nd June finds me having breakfast at my favourite place. BlueWaterCafe on the beach front. Early on a Sunday morning and the weather is good is where you would find me. Off to the right of this picture is the pier.

August is my homeless month

So far for this month I am basically homeless, no place to hang my hat, so I wear it.
But to the right you see a picture of Reed Valley Inn, this is where I park my car Monday to Friday.
